Healthcare for the Poor
A free medical clinic (Dispensario Medico) and a dental clinic are located at the site where Father Marty Gates began his ministry in Guaymas in 1971. Women, children and the elderly with common medical problems are the most frequent visitors to the Clinic. Physicians and nurses volunteer their services. Donated pharmaceuticals as well as some medical equipment are available to clinic patients with a physician's prescription.
Dental Care
The Dental Clinic is staffed by a Dentist and her assistant who offer free treatment and preventive care. Volunteer Dentists from the U.S. periodically provide additional clinical days for dental services. |
