Meson de Jesus (Table of Jesus)
Guests at the Meson de Jesus reflect the poor neighborhood in which it is located. Small children with their parents, the mentally and physically challenged, alcoholics, travelers, workers and the elderly come together to share a hot meal and a respite from a life full of hardship.

At the Table of Jesus, all are welcome
Each day, hundreds of those in need are served a nutritious breakfast and noon-day meal.  Staff and volunteers welcome and treat all with dignity in this atmosphere where God's grace abounds in those serving and in those being served.

Meson de Jesus
The Meson de Jesus was one of the Mission's first projects.  It is a house built from love, by people who live the Gospel message, and is staffed by workers and volunteers who heard the call and said "yes", and who today continue this daily effort to feed the hungry because it is God's call.

Brother David Paz OFM, on an occasion when he observed the noon meal being served, described the experience: "There were people dining at the tables in quiet conversations, and a peaceful spirit of cooperation pervaded the room."

There- in the safety and comfort of the Meson where they received food to nourish their bodies, their spirits were uplifted as well.
