CARE AND SUSTAINABILITY

Praise be you, my Lord, through our sister, Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us." - St. Francis of Assisi

Home Gardens

The CFO Home Garden Project helps our brothers and sisters grow fruits and vegetables, giving them the means to live with less dependency on the Mission. So far, CFO has funded 12 home gardens and planted 30 fruit and shade trees.

This project also buys and installs water tanks to ensure a consistent water supply for families.

Temporary Crisis Housing

Our Mission offers a compassionate, safe environment for individuals and families facing emergencies such as homelessness, domestic violence, neglect, or natural disasters.

This support ensures vulnerable people have a secure place to stay while accessing critical resources like counseling, healthcare, and food.

Comfort Care

Our social workers check in on and spend time with the elderly who are isolated, as well as provide support for the mentally challenged and persons suffering mobility limitation, the effects of addictions or other debilitating illnesses that might render them homebound.

Hygiene Stations

So much of basic human dignity is found in a simple shower and a haircut. At the Mission each Saturday, Hygiene Stations are offered with access to showers, haircuts, shaving supplies and fresh clothes.

Housing Repair

CFO provides free home repairs that address safety hazards, improve living conditions, increase security, provide electrical access and enhance energy efficiency. These efforts help strengthens communities, prevent homelessness, and ensure families can remain in safer homes.
